Hey Ladies!


It's time for a night out with the girls! Join us for a night of fun. Come out and support your local businesses on Thursday, June 13th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. 

The night will start at Caldwell Flowerland at 6:00 pm. They'll be serving wine and offering a chance to win raffle baskets donated by local merchants. Keep your eye out for a special something donated by Runway!

Come into Runway to take advantage of a special deal; 20% off your entire purchase. And what kind of Ladies Night would it be without sweets!? Well no kind, of course! Delicious cupcakes will be served, generously provided by Cookie Party.

Flowers may be a little late sprouting,

but spring trends are definitely in full bloom!

Dana Prigge’, Editor in Chief of Dailyfashionista.com and Joonbug columnist, recently held a Spring Fling Fashion event at Neiman Marcus in the Garden State Plaza in Paramus. Dana showcased all of her must-have spring pieces for the upcoming season. 

I was honored to receive an invite to one of Dana’s events. She and I have been friends for years and have even had the pleasure of working together. Dana was our MC at the Sassy Shop Fashion Show in 2010. I am so proud of how much she has grown and all she has accomplished.

Dana began her career in the corporate side of the fashion empire until she was able to pursue her entrepreneurial dreams by establishing DailyFashionista.  Dana’s work can be seen throughout the fashion world. She has made appearances on Style and E! Networks, as well as set foot on the red carpet to interview hot celebs. Her styling trends and techniques have also been featured in companies such as Charlotte Russe and Victoria’s Secret.

Some of my personal favorites from Dana’s highlighted Spring ’13 hot-picks were the Florals, the stunning Valentino Bow Patent Leather Clutch in a vibrant red and gorgeous Rachel Zoe lucite jewelry. The DVF wrap-dress was also a head-turner for me.

Other featured looks included Arm Candy, Flirty Footwear and Retro-sunglasses and Bowties.

After the presentation, delicious Magnolia Cupcakes and adorable customized chocolates by Bellina Chocolates were served for all the fashionistas! What girl doesn’t love fashion and sweets?

Classic Lace-Resort/Spring Trend '12

 This is such an easy wearable trend because its ageless and no matter what body style you have there is something you can adorn in lace! I particularly love it paired up with sheer. The combination gives off a sexy vibe yet keeps it classy. A perfect daytime top would be a sheer button down tank with a lace cami underneath. I'd opt for a light blush color to keep the look ultra light and airy. Todays designers are even creating more unique lace pieces by laser cutting which gives it a modern texture. This trend can also be worn at night by wearing a black lace dress with a fun bold statement necklace.

The Stylish Beach Bag & What It Says About You

With the most awaited season of the year approaching we must get ourselves stylishly ready! I always believe in making first impressions in any surrounding. Poolside and beach side should be no different! Looking a little glam is so easy when hitting these destinations by adding some sparkle and sequins. My favorite way to do that is incorporating it into my beach bag. Because most beach bags are always nice and large, its a perfect way to give that glitz and glimmer without adorning yourself with way to many jewels that should have been left at home! Want a simple tote then try a chic monogrammed tote. You can also get a fun bright vivid hued beach bag or even go the classic J. Crew nautical with stripes tote. My go-to beach tote material is canvas or straw-very durable and easy to shake off that dusty sand! Here are some of our beach worthy favorites!

The Ultimate Short: Wide Leg Shorts

I'm loving the next generation summer short because it has a chic flowy feel-the wide leg shorts. It's amongst the most popular 2012 Summer trend. I love it's casual feel for day and the ease for dressing it up for night time fun! It looks great with a crop top or with a tucked in fitted blouse and belt. Just avoid anything to flowy on top because you want to balance out the fuller bottom that the short adds. Add a top with some stripes for a very St. Barts look or a lacey tank for a soft romantic feel.

Style Tip: Skip this trend if you have really petite skinny legs as the wide shorts will make them appear even smaller.
